Extremely rapid pulses and wavelengths exclusive to Pico technology resulting in minimal heat. Low heat means less chance of damage or injury to the epidermis. 

The results depend on what your purpose for using Pico is. Removing tattoos leads to permanent results. However, for skin revitalization, your provider may recommend follow-up treatments. Such follow-up treatments are used to diminish the appearance of wrinkles and slow the return of coloring due to pigment conditions.

A series of 3-4 treatments is recommended. Treatment intervals are 4 weeks but can be up to 6 weeks for darker skin types. Each patient is unique and will be evaluated prior to treatment and given a personalized treatment plan.

The procedure of Pico laser treatment is quick. In normal conditions, the whole process only takes about 10 to 30 minutes. Results also start showing within 1 – 2 weeks after the first treatment.

• No sun exposure, tanning beds and sunless tanning cream for 4 weeks prior to treatment.
• Sun exposure decreases the effectiveness of the laser treatment and can increase the chance of Post-treatment complications.

• Wait 24 hours before applying makeup if you are prone to breakouts or have oily skin.
• Cleanse the treated area at least daily with water and mild soap, and then pat the area dry.
• Do not rub or scratch the treated area.
• Discomfort may be relieved by cold gel packs and/or an over the counter pain reliever, such as acetaminophen.
• If crusting/scabbing occurs, do not shave or pick the area.
• Apply moisturizer to the treatment area 2-3 times a day. Keep the area moist, and let the crusting/scabbing resolve on its own.
• Until you are fully healed, avoid contact sports or any other activity that could cause injury of the treated area.
• Swimming, soaking or using hot tubs/whirlpools until the skin heals.
