How long do treatments take?

The length of time a Laser Hair Removal treatment takes will depend on the size of the area being treated. We always recommend a series of treatments for reduction of unwanted hair spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

Is there any downtime?

There is absolutely no downtime or recovery period required with laser hair removal. You can return to your daily routine the moment you walk out of the office. There can be some minor follicle swelling and tenderness at the treated area(s) that resolve quickly.

When will I see results?

You will notice a reduction in hair growth several weeks after your first treatment.  With each treatment in your package, hair regrowth will become less and less. Hair follicles lie dormant for a period of time, which is why a series of treatments is always needed to achieve a smooth result.

How long will my results last?

Laser Hair Removal results are long lasting, however some patients may require annual follow-up treatments.

• Avoid the sun 4-6 weeks prior to treatment. Self-tanner needs to be completely removed 1 week before treatment
• Shave the area before the treatment, either the day of or the day before
• You must avoid bleaching, plucking, or waxing the hair or 4-6 weeks prior to the treatment

• There may be redness and swelling of the hair follicles which can last up to 2 hours or longer. Redness may last 2-3 days
• Avoid sun exposure to prevent hyperpigmentation
• Use a broad-spectrum SPF of 30 at all times throughout the course of treatment
• Treatments are scheduled 6-8 weeks apart
