During a Forever Clear treatment, patients feel minimal to no discomfort as the provider gently glides the handpiece across the skin. This process involves 3 total passes of the device over the treatment area.
The first pass uses blue light to eliminate acne-causing bacteria deep within the skin’s pores.
The second pass uses yellow light to reduce inflammation and acne-associated redness while preventing new breakouts.
To maximize patients’ results, the skin receives a third pass using infra-red light in rapid, gentle pulses to initiate the body’s natural healing process, reduce the appearance of existing scars, and enhance the benefits of the first two steps.

Are BBL treatments painful?
During the process, you will be wearing protective eyewear. The skin of the treatment region will be targeted with light energy, which is administered with the help of a handpiece.
A treatment session lasts anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour depending on the area of the body being treated. A topical anesthetic may be used in certain areas but is often not necessary. Aside from a warm sensation felt as a result of the BBL pulses, the service is pain-free.
How many treatments will I need?
The amount of Forever Clear Acne Laser treatments will vary by patient depending on the severity of the conditions being treated and the desired results. Typically, we recommend a series of treatments.
• Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanner for 4 weeks prior to treatment
• Inform your provider if you have used Accutane in the last 6 months
• Inform your provider of any medical conditions or medications
• Inform your provider if you have a history of melasma on the face
• Bruising, swelling, and redness are common and will resolve in 7-10 days
• Treated pigment will turn darker (brown to black) within 24-48 hours. Do NOT pick at the pigment!
• Mineral makeup may be applied immediately after treatment
• Avoid heat, saunas, hot tubs, and intense exercise for 3 days
• Avoid exfoliating products such as retinols and salicylic acid for 7 days post treatment
